The economic meltdown of 2008-2009, clearly visible in both the US birth chart and the US Stock Exchange chart, was predicted by a few astrologers (me included), a few economists and a few market managers. Though what could easily have become a second Great Depression and a subsequent decade of economic suffering has been avoided, the foundation of the US economy is neither strong nor healthy. The underlying causes of the current financial debacle are similar to those that produced the 1929 crash; however, we have yet to institute the 21st century regulations that are needed to prevent further risk, bailouts and failure. The legacy of FDR and the 1930’s was not only significant, effective regulations of the banking and financial industry but also a re-visioning of a fairer, more equitable America that supported the “least among us” through the institution of Social Security, the establishment of unemployment insurance and the minimum wage, the WPA, the TVA, the Wagner Act, housing and mortgage reforms and farming subsidies.

Is America broken? Can we afford to restructure our government, tackle our massive debt, address climate change, rebuild our social safety net, finally provide universal health care and negotiate fair and just trade policies, labor practices, and corporate regulations? Can we begin to dismantle our expensive, dangerous and immoral foreign policies? America’s vast wealth is at risk along with her survival, her morality and her potential to continue to establish “a more perfect union” as Pluto moves through its opposition to our Cancer planets over the next 14 years. A presentation of the Jupiter/Saturn business cycle, where we are in the current cycle, the coming Pluto return in the US house of finances, the Neptune conjunction to the US moon and our approaching Saturn return will illuminate the current and future financial, political and social challenges we face. This critical period of choice will determine the future of America’s financial stability, success and prosperity.

Food Sources

Food for Thought, Food for Life (2015) | IMDb

We want our food fast, convenient and cheap, but at what cost? As farms become supersized our environment suffers and so does the quality of our food. FOOD FOR THOUGHT, FOOD FOR LIFE wants to start a revolution in the food system. This film will be a conversation starter inspiring us to think differently about what we eat, and to make changes that will positively impact our health, our earth and our communities. A driving and optimistic soundtrack by the indie band Cloud Cult punctuates interviews with such visionaries as poet Wendell Berry, chef Dan Barber, and guerilla urban gardener Ron Finley. Viewers will be inspired by the fast-paced infographics, stories of change, and left with a real-time 'what you can do right now' message.

The Starfish Throwers (2014) | IMDb

Powerful, direct and heartrending, The Starfish Throwers explores how three of the world's most fiercely compassionate individuals struggle to restore hope to the hopeless in unexpected and sometimes dangerous ways. Continents apart, a sixth grader, a top chef and retired school teacher fight what seems an unwinnable war until they discover their impact may reach further than their action.

This "Mad Genius" Organic Farmer's Ideas Are Working. He's Grossing $100K An Acre...

What kind of super-fertilizer allows Paul Kaiser to grow so much food on a mere 8 acres? Lot’s of rotten food scraps and rotten plants – otherwise known as compost. And he uses loads of it. He uses farming practices both old, and cutting-edge-new so well that agricultural specialists from University of California at Davis who have tested his top soil can drive a four-foot steel pole all the way through his fields. This, as opposed to most parts of California, where it would hit infertile hard-pan in less than 12 inches. Last year, Kaiser’s farm located in Sonoma Valley, CA grossed more than $100,000 an acre, too. This is ten times the average for most farmers of this area, even in lucrative wine-country.
