Event Description

Tantra: The Art of Conscious Loving

Beginners Weekend Seminar

November 18-20, 2011

Ashland, Oregon

Couples and Singles

Beginners Weekend Seminar will... provide you with the education our culture never had and always needed in order to have wonderful, real, and lasting love. Whether you’re single or in relationship, discover the full potential of your sexual energy. Rather than a touchy-feely course about sex, Tantra: The Art of Conscious Loving is a spiritual, yet practical guide to being present and intimate with the most important person in your life. Sure, you will learn a lot of great sexual techniques, but only in the context of celebrating yourself, your partner, your love, and life itself, NOW is the time to embrace the master lover in you!

Charles Muir is the Founder of Source School of Tantra Yoga, a nationally-acclaimed school for Tantra Yoga. Charles is considered the Pioneer of the Modern Tantra Movement in the United States. In 1980, he originated Tantra: The Art of Conscious Loving format, Sacred Spot Massage, and many other experiential exercises, which have become cornerstones in the curriculum of most Tantra educators.  He is quoted in over 100 books on Tantra, yoga, relationship, and spiritual awakening.

Leah Alchin has been a practicing Tantrika since 1997 and has been co-teaching seminars with Charles Muir since 2004. She is an Advanced Certified Tantra Educator and serves as Director of Events at the Source School of Tantra Yoga. Leah has assisted couples and individuals all over the world through More Love Seminars, Source School of Tantra Yoga Seminars, Instructor Training Courses, and her private practice, Dakini Love, to assist people in finding More Love.

OUR PROMISE… Charles Muir and Leah Alchin use a down-to-earth, humorous, and candid approach to creating a safe environment (no nudity) for singles and couples. Charles offers a guarantee. If you are not happy with the course by Sunday at noon, he will refund your money and you can pay whatever you think is fair, no questions asked.

Earth & Eco News

Anthropocene

The Anthropocene defines Earth's most recent geologic time period as being human-influenced, or anthropogenic, based on overwhelming global evidence that atmospheric, geologic, hydrologic, biospheric and other earth system processes are now altered by humans. The word combines the root "anthropo", meaning "human" with the root "-cene", the standard suffix for "epoch" in geologic time. The Anthropocene is distinguished as a new period either after or within the Holocene, the current epoch, which began approximately 10,000 years ago (about 8000 BC) with the end of the last glacial period.

Solar Power To Become 4th Largest Electric Power Capacity In The World (Passing Up Wind) | CleanTechnica

Frost & Sullivan’s recent analysis Global Power Industry Outlook, 2018, which posits that solar will surpass wind in global energy capacity starting in 2020, making it the fourth largest source of energy generation behind coal, gas and hydro. Less than a year ago, solar surpassed nuclear energy to reach 5th place.

California is throttling back record levels of solar—and that’s bad news for climate goals | MIT Technology Review

Californians are enjoying a sunny spring, which means the state’s solar farms and rooftop panels are flooding the grid with electricity. The problem is, they’re producing so much that plummeting prices and mandates by the state’s grid operator are forcing renewable power plants to throttle back production. In April, California solar and wind farms shut down or dialed back nearly 95,000 megawatt-hours of electricity, a new record, according to the California Independent System Operator, which manages the vast majority of the state’s electricity. That’s enough to power more than 30 million homes for an hour.
