Event Description

This one day will be an intimate exploration and essential heart-centered alchemical practices, insights, sacred texts and poetry to open to that sacred connection and redemption of the living light of our soul and the Great Mother’s presence within us (as matter is a root word for mother).

When indigneous tribes call the Great Mother, they call to the underworlds (the depths of our inner worlds).  It is through the focus in our depths and on our shadows where we restore soul to our lives. This is the ancient art of alchemy which roots intimately into the primordial Wisdom cultures of the sacred feminine earth. Ancient alchemists knew hat the shadow which they would call the 'prima materia' (or first mother) was not to be avoided but sought after.

Similarly, artists know that in order to draw the most realistic portrait you don’t try to draw in the shapes and sizes of what you see in the light, you focus on the different shades of shadow. If we were approach our shadow (the places which we repress, deny & project), with the same artistry, we can actualize the creative inspiration within the shadow and begin a process of divinizing our shadows and embodying the light of our soul.

This is the art of alchemy, the transformation of our shadow into the gold of our true nature. In a culture where many of us have been deeply conditioned to search for the gold of soul fulfillment through the glitter of false promises of egoic fame, power, riches and unconscious consumerism, this day is a day to invoke and unveil the light of wonder of the riches of soul.

The embodiment of soul cannot be done in a one-day group, a weekend or a course. It is a life- long journey of embodiment. This day will offer a sacred container and simple practices and explorations to support you in your daily life in the restoration of soul to our lives and to the world.

$80 tuition. Part of the proceeds will help fund a sacred activism journey for anti-sex trafficking in Thailand. Please contact Courtney for registration or more information. 541-535-2186 or www.courtneydukelow.com, [email protected]

Solar energy breakthrough creates electricity from invisible light | The Independent

Two major breakthroughs in solar cell technology could vastly improve the way energy is harvested from the sun. The two studies, published in Nature Energy and Nature Photonics, will transform the efficiency and significantly reduce the cost of producing solar cells, scientists say. The first breakthrough involves “upconverting” low energy, non-visible light into high energy light in order to generate more electricity from the same amount of sunlight. Researchers at RMIT University and UNSW University in Australia and the University of Kentucky in the US discovered that oxygen could be used to transfer low energy light into molecules that can be converted into electricity.
