"The Bear Creek Regional Problem Solving Process & How it Affects Us All" will be presented on Wednesday, June 2 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in Room D of the SOU Campbell Center at 655 Frances Lane in Ashland. The Regional Problem Solving (RPS) process is a decade-long land use assessment of how Jackson County should manage growth and increasing population. Areas to consider include population density standards and urban growth boundaries, on the one hand, and protecting and supporting the agricultural economy by conserving critical agricultural land, on the other. Presenter Greg Holmes, the Southern Oregon Advocate for 1,000 Friends of Oregon, will explain the RPS and how citizens from Ashland to Eagle Point can have input into the Draft Plan via public hearings now taking place. This program is part of a weekly series sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at SOU. No registration necessary. Details are available at www.sou.edu/olli or by calling 541-552-6048.
