Bank Thyme

Greetings. I have been considering many things. Is there any community interest in starting a community bank that can store value in things other than cash currency. I would like to deposit some silver bars and be able to borrow against their value. If anyone would like to play banker - please respond. If there are a few of us, we can meet either on-line or somewhere in Ashland to work out details.

To respond to this post please go to my Existence site.

Nuclear Defusion

Prayers for Japan - but expect that things will mutate. Nuclear chemistry is about the transmutation of elements - there are several decay sequences that take uranium to lead with a myriad of by-products on the way. These radio nuclides have different emissions with different half-lives - when an emission…

Potassium Iodide for Radiation Protection

Welcome to a brave new whirled.  The nuclear melt-down in Japan has sent ripples through Ashland, as the antidote for Iodine radiation poisoning blew off the store shelves.  This local chemist rides to the rescue by making 1000 CDC doses of Potassium Iodide for the local Southern Oregon community.

The idea of using potassium iodide is to prevent your body from absorbing radioactive iodine.  The amount in a single dose is 135 mg KI - this is a lot of iodide.  My recommendation is to…

Changing the Present | Commentary

By Lenny Thyme

The time has come to be the change we wish to see. The need to do things is circumvented by the time it takes to do the things you have to do, just to keep pace with the quickening. The work doesn't pay enough for the things we need to have and we end up chasing carrots that dissolve before they are harvested from the garden. Nobody is making out well and everybody has somebody else to point the finger…

Aloha Lenny,
Yes, I very much enjoyed my travels to Guatemala and beyond over the winter...
We live on such a beautiful planet and there's so much to be done with education, preservation and collaboration. I am so grateful to have the support and foundation of this Mother that takes care of us, now we much take care of Her! Hope all is well with you and that we get together soon and find New Ways of Being...

Hoʻoponopono - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hoʻoponopono (ho-o-pono-pono) is an ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness. Similar forgiveness practices were performed on islands throughout the South Pacific, including Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand. Traditionally hoʻoponopono is practiced by healing priests or kahuna lapaʻau among family members of a person who is physically ill. Modern versions are performed within the family by a family elder, or by the individual alone.
