Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at SOU
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Southern Oregon University provides adults of all ages with intellectual stimulation and social connection. This organization of over 1,000 members offers non-credit classes on two campuses – the SOU Campbell Campus in Ashland and the RCC-SOU Higher Education Center in Medford. OLLI members can select unlimited courses from among 80-90 offerings each academic quarter, September through June, space permitting, for the low annual fee of $100. Membership also includes participation in fun social events and attendance at single event educational programs. Since there are no tests, grades or prerequisites, learning is enjoyable for both members and peer instructors.
OLLI membership provides the opportunity to interact with others via attendance at multiple classes each week and through volunteering on committees or in governance in this largely volunteer run organization. Members who have chosen to teach a course, perhaps for the first time, or taken a leadership role, have found that OLLI offers tremendous personal growth experiences.
Course offerings span such a wide range of topics -- including selections in art, dance, hiking, history, investing, music, personal development, science, technology and writing -- that there is something to appeal to everybody. The full course catalog is available at www.sou.edu/olli or by calling 552-6048.
Come join OLLI to learn, just for the fun of it.
