Understanding Practice Management Systems from Eastern Thought Perspective

Understanding the Western methodology of sales and marketing, that 80% of future business comes from existing customers, it behooves Eastern Medicine Practices to adopt a technological solution to manage their practice.

Right now you might be doing the following to various degrees:

1. Referring Patients to Tai Chi practitioners for further “self-health.”

2.Calling patients to remind them of appointments or offering “Check-up” calls to see if a patients' health is… Continue

The Tai Chi of Business

EDIT (April 14th) - I would like to preface this with an acknowledgement to my teacher Michael Vasquez. Without his guidance and patience, I wouldn't be here to present this material to you. Check out his website at

What most westerners consider "Tai Chi" is only the tip of the iceberg. If "slow-moving meditation" or "grand ultimate boxing" come to mind as what it is, you may only have a slight clue… Continue

A more direct relationship with the meaning of technology

"Thus we shall never experience our relationship to the essence of technology so long as we merely conceive and push forward the technological, put up with it, or evade it. Everywhere we remain unfree and chained to technology, whether we passionately affirm or deny it."

Understanding how to adopt the right Business Management Software (including CRM)?

Most businesses come to vendors or consultants for Business Management Software when they are in one of the following stages:

1. Growing exponentially beyond capacity

2. Declining from past success

In the first scenario, a business has hit the mark and is creating good communication with customers. It is prosperous, but is increasingly unable to support or fulfil orders from customers in a timely fashion.

In the second scenario, an established business… Continue

Free Resources to replace "Old-Paradigm" Software Choices

This site has a listing of Free, Open-Source alternatives to nearly all major, "for-profit" softwares out there. Usually the open source version does 99% of what you want and works on Windows/Mac/Linux.

Cut the cord from the Microsoft world. Trust me, you'll be much happier.

Objections based in fear such as:

* Not knowing how to do it

* Not knowing if it will be supported

* Not having the time/patience to learn… Continue

Nice to meet you too. I am also a true believer in open source. What an awesome concept! And...referrals for computer repair would be great.
Also....I should mention that I just teamed up with a great lady named Joanna Loops. She and I have put together, Computer Gals...and our focus is helping seniors get started with computers. We would love to get referrals like that as well.

I provide just about any kind of support. I have done a little programming...and some website development. I like to assist people with software. I enjoy networking and I did work for an ISP for a while. My favorite thing is working with computer hardware. Thanks for asking. Anything I can help you with?

Scientists accidentally create mutant enzyme that eats plastic bottles | Environment | The Guardian

Scientists have created a mutant enzyme that breaks down plastic drinks bottles – by accident. The breakthrough could help solve the global plastic pollution crisis by enabling for the first time the full recycling of bottles. The new research was spurred by the discovery in 2016 of the first bacterium that had naturally evolved to eat plastic, at a waste dump in Japan. Scientists have now revealed the detailed structure of the crucial enzyme produced by the bug.

Beyond SolarCity, Vivint Solar and Sunrun: Who Is Actually Growing in the Residential Solar Market? | Greentech Media

A chill has hit homesolar According to GTM Research’s latest U.S. Solar Market Insight report, Q3 2017 was the third consecutive quarter that the residential solar market fell by installation volume. It's easy to blame the “big three” for this downturn -- collectively, SolarCity, Vivint Solar and Sunrun (excluding Sunrun's channel business) are down 32 percent in installation volume over the first three quarters of 2016, according to the latest U.S. PV Leaderboard. At the same time, we talk about the rest of the market -- the long tail -- as though it were an aggregate force tempering the downfalls of the behemoth big three.
